Petra Kvitova is a female tennis player from Czech Republic who was born on 8th March, 1990.  She turned pro in 2006 and currently her wta ranking is Eight.  So far she has won four singles titles, in that three of them came at this year.  2011 has been a great year for Petra Kvitova, she won three wta titles at Hobart (Hard Court), Brisbane (Hard Court), Madrid (Clay Court), Eastbourne (Grass Court) that shows her game is improved a lot in all kinds of courts.  Currently she is qualified for the Wimbledon Semifinals 2011 and she will be play against former Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova.

Eighth Seed Petra Kvitova enter into the semifinals of Wimbledon 2011 by defeating 32nd seed Tsvetana Pironkova in the quarter final match by 6-3, 6-7, 6-2.  In the last year too she entered into the Wimbledon semi final but failed to beat Serena Williams, who went onto win the Wimbledon last year.  Now Kvitova will play against the fourth seed Victoria Azarenka, who defeated Tamira Paszek in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. Maria Sharapova and Sabine Lisicki are already entered into the Semi Finals of Wimbledon 2011. Former Wimbledon Champion Maria Sharapova breezed past Dominika Cibulkova in straight sets 6-1, 6-1.  The Ninth seed Marion Bartoli made her exit at the Wimbledon 2011 by Sabine Lisicki who meets Sharapova in the Semi Final.
